One of the main aims of a stag party is creating an event that will never be forgotten by anyone in attendance. There have been some legendary stag parties that have gone down in history and if you are the best man for one of your best friends or a member of your family, you will want to make sure your party plan is up there with one of the stag soiree greats. Remember, to make your party memorable, you have to be original, tender to the stag’s tastes, be imaginative and above all, have a laugh! If you really are stuck for ideas, here are a few to get you started:
- Rent a Cottage – This may be for the older stag group, say the 25-35 age group. If you genuinely want to spend time together, having a drink, out in the countryside in a secluded destination, telling stories and having a laugh, this is a great idea. If you’re a group of country pub and real ale lovers as opposed to glow sticks and vodka shots you might find your perfect party in the country. It’s not all low key though, if you book a cottage in the Lake District for example, you will have a plethora of outdoor sports at your fingertips!
- Organise a Sports Day – A great way to spend your last days together as free men is to challenge each other to some of the great British sports. You could divide the group into teams, go through as many sports as you can fit into the space day and have a prize for the winning team. There are loads of fun spots such as golf, football volleyball and basketball. But to make it extra special, intersperse some silly games like three-legged race, egg and spoon race and sack race. These games are bound to produce copious amounts of hilarity and forge memories that will last a life time.
- A Weekend Break – Getting away from normality is a great way to make sure everyone in the group really lets their hair down and has a good time. There are some popular stag destinations such as Amsterdam, Prague and Barcelona, that while being perfectly good party destinations, may be a little overdone. For your stag party, head somewhere out of the ordinary like Las Vegas, Berlin or Krakow. To make a stag holiday more fun you have to make sure you get dressed up! While there are some great ideas for fancy dress from Fancy Dress Ball, you could always just dress as your other half! Those of you who are free and single will have the punishment of dressing up as their own mothers!
